Scissor beak problems

Ok I tried clipping just a tiny bit off the top beak and even though it was the very tip I still got a drop of blood. I used corn starch and it stopped right away and she went back to trying to eat. Her two siblings like I said are bigger with more feathers and are now chasing her off the feed so I put her in another cage with two small bantams, they seem to be getting along and yes I have a rock in their cage to file beaks on. I wet down feed and she still tries to find dry feed to eat. Do they ever need their bottom beaks filed? I mean that makes me nervous but just curious

Glad she's getting along with the bantams! Maybe give her dry and wet and just see which on she seems to be able to eat better? If she can eat dry food fine then great! If clipping makes you nervous then just stick with filing to help her beak be a bit more uniform. I filed the bottom of mines beak to help it be closer to meeting the top one. But mine isn't as severe so just use your own judgment. I'll try to get a pic of mine tomorrow to show you kinda what I did.

Ok one more question she’s still trying to eat dry food but is there any special things I could try to see if she likes it for extra nutrients? I’ve read maybe trying scrambled eggs or something like that, she just looks kind of rough right now. I put her in with my two gentlest bantams that are 7 weeks and she and one of them seem to always be “talking” to each other

Scrabbled egg is good, you can also put nutridrench in the food or water to give her a boost! Fermented feed is also very high in nutrients. It's super easy to make! If you have anymore questions please ask, we all want to help

I just took these pictures and she is always looking like hunched up and her poor little beak looks sore on top, I’m guess from pecking at the feed?

Sure is a cute little chick. I worry that she's not getting enough nutrition. If she's able to find dry pieces of feed in the wet feed, you might want to try wetting it to the consistency of oatmeal. That will be much easier for her to scoop up. I make mash as a treat every night for my flocks. I use about 1/2 the amount of feed that I want to end up with, to allow for swelling. I add room temp water (for chicks) until it's just standing over the feed, and then let it stand for about 5 minutes or so. At this point the water is usually soaked into the feed and I'll add a little more to make it just slightly runny, or an oatmeal consistency.

Poor thing Does she ever stand up straight? If not, I worry that she may have other issues going on with her little spine.

She does look like she's not feeling well. Is she pooping? If she's changed brooders, the possibility of coccidiosis is also a factor, but I suspect she's not ingesting enough nutrients for sustainability. If she were mine, I'd make her a boiled egg and mince it up really fine then add some water to make it a more scoopable consistency. This will also help get more water into her. Dehydration will kill them quickly. I'm really hoping and praying for her. She is absolutely adorable.

Like mentioned before, there's a possibility of things not forming properly internally.

Looks as if there might be even more amiss than "just" the beak problem, which is severe enough already, as it is not only the beak, but the entire lower mandibula out of place.
