What do you mean by got? I don't think scorpions can live in water. but snapping turtles and snakes do.Can scorpions live in ponds? Something just got one of our 4 week old ducks. Looked like a scorpion.

A crawdad ate one of your ducks?, My goodness you grow crawdads big where you are, I would think more on the line of a snapping turtle. How old was your duck/duckling ?It was a crawdad. And by "got", I mean he (they??) made a meal of it.![]()
If your pond is something other than a kiddy pool and deep enough you probably have snapping turtles and they will get all your ducks. Get rid of the turtles before this happens please. He could have been ill but did you examine the body to see if he had gotten an injury or wound? Most of the time snappers bite big chunks and depending on where that is usually tells whether or not the duck will survive. We found him facedown in the water. Everyone was fine just shortly before that. We didn't see anything that could have killed it (dogs, etc). Maybe he was ill and died, and the crawdads just ate him? Very strange.....
