Vicky might know better than I.

But I know that the only APA-recognized varieties (at least as of 2001 or so) are Black, formerly called 'Colored' (NOT Wild Type, either); Blue (I believe you called this Gray in ref. to Dufuss lost daddy); White; Chocolate. That's it.

So if there are no standards for Duclairs (and I doubt gravely that there are--I'd say I'm sure there aren't), you couldn't show one I guess.

I guess I need to grow some all blacks to show then. Too bad the pieds aren't allowed, the duclair pattern is very cool.

The flock of nine have figured out how to climb the stairs into the new coup to get food. Daddy Dufuss looked a bit more relaxed this morning and was sleeping right with the group.

We need more folks that are serious about
the Muscovy breed.
Genetics is totally not my forte!
Just doesn't compute beyond the very basics
of color breeding.
Oddly enough there simply isn't much written information about Muscovies.
Even the heavy weight duck breed club folded
after a short time.
I do have some hard copy of some information by one of the old founding Muscovy breeders (his name escapes me right now) that I got from Brian Paul Witt.
I will try to dig up and send you copies.
Please remind me if I forget.

A good self blue is such a pretty color and they have a colorless translucent sheen that is awesome.
I believe duclairs are an accepted color in the UK.
