Scovies now breeding!

I realize that.
However the ducks get bare necked and sometimes scraped and scabby, so I do what I can.

this is only nature O_O, ducks breed the way they know how, the same way cats and dogs do

OH NO! My drake is a giant! He isn't breeding yet, though. Luckily, the duck is older, and experienced. I'm sure that I'll be completely traumatized when I see it!

Another very neat thing is the way the younger of the two hens he mated with (after what I could see was a truly succesful mating--if you don't mind my saying so), went into this wing flapping, preening ecstacy right near the water bowl. She then jumped right into (barely fitting) and started flapping and flapping. She seemed really happy after the fact. Marvellous and cute too.

The drake did the very same thing at another water bowl.

Ever see this?
