Scraps at night

So, I think for the winter I'll supplement the chooks by giving them some scraps at night. Usually we have carrots, lettuce, coconut oil, and fruits that I'm free to give to the birds and maybe I'd give them a small amount of canned dog food today to put in their feed bucket in the evenings. What do you think? They usually get a small amount of oats in the morning because that's what I use when training one of my Orps so I'll give them all a little of that. They always have 16% protein layer feed available.

She can do 42 different tricks! Some include jumping through a hoop, finding the jack among a deck of cards, jumping up on my leg, figure 8 around cones, weaving through my legs, leave a treat, look at me, hold my feet down for situps, etc. If you are on Instagram our account is chicken.tricks

Sorry not a nutrition expert but I think it is recommended for chickens diets to not consist of more than 10% treats. Curious though, what are you training your Orpington to do?
