I am giving my chickens 2 small margrine tubs full of scratch every day and acasonally a feww peices of bread. How much is the correct amount of scratch is good for 7 chickens? Am I giving them too much? They have been having runny poo recently, could the bread or scratch be causing it?

YIKES.....back away from the scratch! It is 25% of their daily feed. They should be on layer(if laying) or start and grow (for youngers)
Bread has no nuitritional value......i never give mine bread. It is worthless

You need to read up on feeding your flock. Scrath is a TREAT not food! They will over heat in the summer when given to much of it. They also get fat and don't lay eggs as well.

I put 1/4 ratio in my feeders

Please change their diet ASAP, they will recover and be just fine! Also , plain yogurt will help with runny poo. Iy is a pro biotic and helps with digestion. JUST stand back after you give it to them. they LOVE it and sling it everywhere, LOL.............

thanks for the info!!

If you're feeding a typical 15-16% protein layer ration then do not give them more than about a half a handful of scratch/bread a day. If you're feeding a 17-18% ration you can double that. 20% and up and you can feed grains free choice if the complete ration is fed the same way.

.....Alan.
