What are your thoughts about having pullets moved from inside to an outdoor screened in porch? Temps on the low end for NW GA right now are around 50F on the low, and 70 on the high. I am thinking of moving them to the porch to give them more room. Any issues with this idea that anyone can see?

How old? if they're feathered, those temps aren't too cold. If you feel its too cold, keep the heat on at night. A lot of people actually brood from hatch outside. Including hens. LOL.

By my estimation, they are around 3-4 weeks. Their wings are feathered, but the birds aren't fully feathered yet. I can keep heat on them through the night (which I planned on) until the low temps were 65F+ I was going to keep them in brood until 6 weeks and then move them to the coop and pen.

essentially, as they feather in, every week you should be lowering the temp in the brooder by 5 degrees. This way once they're feathered, they should also be acclimated to real temps without a heater.
