You don't need "mybannermaker" to make banners. Just use G.I.M.P. It's free and just as powerful as Photoshop. There are lots of tuts on the web as well as video tuts.

The banner looks good, appears balanced but text could pop out more.

It's nice. Guess it depends on what the rest of your pages will look like. Personally, I think it would be better with some color. Is that a pic of your dog or a stock photo?

I agree the banner looks good, but the color of the text is too close to the color of the banner.
