Screws or Nails..

We built an 8'x16' coop/storage room this spring and used the star-head screws for the framing, flooring, etc. This was our first construction project and many times were grateful we didn't have to pry out nails to change things. We LOVE our Dewalt tools! We used a nail gun to put up the siding because it worked better than screws in the composite material. We used staples for all the wire and hardware cloth. That building will be there a long time--very sturdy.

Everything under the sun as I was trying to use up left over materials from other projects, but my absolute preference is screws with the star head!! So easy to use, almost impossible to strip, back out easily, can correct mistakes, the list goes on. Plus, I'm in the 40+ crowd and my "coop" is a 10x12 shed-style structure, I found swinging that hammer made me pretty sore after I while, I was so happy when I ran out of nails!
