Gloria Jean, m'dear, by the way, your namesake has the biggest MOUTH on the planet! When the roosters start crowing about 2-3 a.m., or whenever, even if it's midnight, she starts cackling. And she doesn't stop even after they've all shutup. She goes on and on and on till I turn down the baby monitor. I can still hear her out the closed window, though. I've never had a hen who was actually worse than a rooster after dark. Now, my late Delaware hen, Maxie, was quite the little announcer. She'd moo like a cow for an hour, but never all night long.

I alternately call Miss Gloria Jean either Gloria Jean the Beauty Queen or Gloria Jean the Drama Queen...both names fit her to a "T".

Mouth piece huh! I do like to talk but not at that time of night. I am out like a light lately by 10 pm if I am not to tired and go to bed at 9.

Are you all getting eggs? Finally, I am getting new pullet eggs. I hope they will all be laying soon.

It is ridiculous to have as many chickens as I do and get less than 2 dozen eggs a day.

I got 373 eggs for the month of November. Yesterday I got 16!
