Cheyenne has boarded the plane and I am sitting at the gate until she is in the air then heading home. I told the pilot to fly great he has precious cargo on board and if not there could be a mean rooster waiting for him in Atlanta. Have suede and Ike on standby Cyn. Hehehehehe

I'm back and I survived. Dr does know what he removed from my foot so is sending it to pathology. I am mastering the art of going up and downstairs. To go down, I get down on my fanny and bounce down one at at a time. Going up, I crawl on my hands and knees. Hey it's better than faling

Pain is not to bad at this point so I am doing good.

Brandon,

that is wonderful! Keep up the good work. How do you feel?

LH, love the pics! Cheyanne is a beautiful young lady. I hope her trip goes well.

Can you believe it! Other than a slight dusting of snow a couple of times we haven't gotten any here. Other parts of MI have gotten some and where I am we usually get the lake effect snow. But so far we have been lucky. But it is very cold. The next couple of days it will be very windy to add to that cold too. My son is here again today to hopefully finish the fencing for me but he and DH keep coming in to get warm.

Good for you, Laura! You'll be recovered in no time, I bet.

Carl (Hilltop on BYC) got Solomon this morning. Nice guy with super nice wife. The youngster will have a good home. Nugget isn't looking for him. Tried putting her in the bantam coop. No way. She did beat up all the little roosters, then Shadow trounced her into the ground and she was sitting in the corner of the coop pouting. SO, we let Suede out and Nugget out and Nugget is now one of Suede's girls. She had some words with each one of his current women, squatted for him numerous times (she knows a good man when she sees one!), and I think she is where she belongs.

I have decided to give Rex to Scott after Christmas and not keep a breeding group of BRs separate at this time. This is the first real step to rearranging things. We need to simplify and cut down on work, feed costs, etc. With Rex gone, his girls can go into Isaac's group (if he'll tolerate more of those barred girls he doesn't care for), Suede will move into Rex's larger side, and Suede's will become a coop for the older hens. It stays warmer and has a "handicapped" roost shelf and huge easy-to-see-out-of window right next to it and adjacent to Zane's cage.
