Evening all
Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers for Colby. As of right now here's what we know
He has been having severe headaches non stop for about three weeks and the MRI yesterday indicated a 1" x 2" (approx) cyst on the left side of his brain, between the brain tissue and his skull. Pediatrician is pretty sure it is the source of the headache. He is very sure it is NOT a tumor, not cancerous, so we are very grateful. We are awaiting an appointment with the neuro-surgeon who will be letting us know what the next steps will be. Initially, the 1st apptmt we could get was March 19. Pediatrician is working to see if we can get that moved up.
IF surgery is necessary, Dr says that it is a "pretty simple" as far as brain surgery goes and the cyst should be easily removed. He thinks that initially the neuro - Dr will probably try meds to shrink it first before trying surgery.
SOOOOO, that's it for now
Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers
