Hey guys just checking in. Been sick with the winter funk for the last couple of days. I'm in between fevers at the moment. They've been so bad it felt like my bed was gonna burst into flames,lol. My bator is just about full. I have just put in 12 Partridge Rocks for the New Year's Day hatch!

So now I have Turkeys, Partridge Cochins, some BOs, and a EE due to hatch on Christmas Eve. So I will have fuzzy butts hatching through the holidays. Think I will take a break on the hatching after this bunch, lol . Christmas shopping is done!! I have spent way too much on myself, lol. I bought myself a Nook from Barnes and Noble, I love it!! Then yesterday I got a Iphone, which i'm not so sure about. It's been raining here non stop! Was suppose to switch to snow, but still just rain. Hope everyone is doing good!!!

I agree with you both-cannot stand mud. I absolutely abhor the barnyard where the horses are. Mudpit? I swear that doesn't begin to describe it. Someday (imagine that sung with a high note!lol) when we move there shall be glorious sand paddocks with proper drainage. Ahhhhhh!

Love ducklings...and goslings.....babies only! Simply because there ain't no mud yet! Lol. It is going to rain here today and the temps are climbing as I type so yeah, like Amy, I will get nervous when I see 'em leaving 2x2!

Amy love that idea! I do believe I will be implementing that in the spring during my coop overhaul! Thanks!

Yuk .... it is cold and I have frozen water this morning. Yesterday we got all the electrical supplies organized to have thawed waters. Today we are using them.

High today is to be 25* and it is 16* currently. We got a light dusting of snow. When letting the chickens out only 3 breeds came outside despite the new ground color ..... Delawares, Barred Rocks, and Buckeyes. The others are inching their way out.

Brandon .... I sure hope you feel better quickly. You gotta get to feeling good so you can take care of all those new chicks you are hatching!

Yep, it is BRRRRRR cold here as well. It's still in the 30's but its all wet out and the wind is blowing and freezing cold. Big storm blowing in, yadda yadda yadda. I went out and got everyone situated first thing this morning. Getting ready to make a last minute run to the pharmacy to pick up the cat's medicine.....then I am going to hibernate all day. It should be glorious LOL.

Sad part is, I realized I don't even own a darn wine corkscrew thingy. Obviously I love me some cheap wine with bags in boxes or screw caps. Got a different kind last night from a local winery and have no way to bust into it. I will gnaw through that cork with my teeth if the apocalypse hit. Or bust out my drill, LOL. I swear I have a corkscrew somewhere...where oh where can it be?

I have returned from the pharmacy, complete with a last minute taco bell run. Heater is turned up, I'm about to make some of those tied fleece blankets here. Need to scramble some eggs, but my does this couch feel comfy. Maybe its nap time.......

I was admiring my niece's tied blanket last night, and recently bought some matched sets of fleece blankets......and then last night, I got to CVS 20 minutes after the pharmacy closed. Sigh. So I made the trip worthwhile by buying 2 more fleece blankets, so I could make a nice brown and tan blanket.

What can I say, GREAT minds think alike! I knew I liked that Brittney!
