Well, if she gets her hands on them before they are crowing or laying ..... they end up being male, that's for sure! Just don't let her sex your chicks for ya.
Yes, Beth, Ladyhawk requests all males. I am saving some up for her.
I have nearly a dozen roosters for LadyHawk. Considering driving them up this weekend. JUST KIDDING. Can't get a return email from my usual rooster lady, so just posted them on craigslist. Adios boys. There are some pretty ones in the batch too.
remember how I was having hawk problems? I don't have a large covered pen (just the small hoop pen) so I did the next best thing. Moved a couple scarecrows in there.
Good luck Cyn- I am hoping for a boy! So it will be blue, right? Smoky is blue, if I am correct. Would love to see another blue Suede boy!
My Dels turned four weeks today- I have a video uploading to photobucket right now, will post when it's done. I can't believe how big they are! I have Jay moving out the week after next, might have one moving out Monday (Luna, who I'm almost sure is a girl) to my next door neighbor (
- I'll have updates on her!) and one girl to go to my best friend, who lost two in the fall to a possum.
I think that Jess and "Feathers" are both girls and that I have 4 girls and a boy, or 3 girls and 2 boys. I am so happy! Jess and Feathers have the most coloring, and very yellow legs. Feather's name will be changing soon... Ooh I have the name! Cassidy! Perfect- I remember Cyn suggesting that, and I had a friend who disappeared named Cassidy.
Nella, hope you find a home for those. The cream-colored boy caught my eye-
ETA:: Got the video uploaded. They're switching to a huge brooder this weekend, again.
