Kathy...lockdown is fine....I had 8 eggs go into lockdown the last hatch...1 was questionable at candling...I had 6 babies hatch fine...no complications and they were all early or on time. Hunidity and temps are holding fine now so

I will candle this weekend.

Well, today is the broody's hatch day. I peeked and I could see at least 2 chicks, and I hear peeping. I could see another one zipping and another pip. She is hatching today, for sure! I know a couple eggs are later by a day, so I expect she will be hatching another day or two.

My chicks were already outgrowing their brooder so they got a bigger box tonight. I have a window screen that I am putting over the top because one of the delawares keeps trying to fly out

Can you guess which one??

Usually the Icelandics fly out first! LOL I bet I see the stinkeye from the flyer, there in front!
