Valbazen (albendazole) Broad-Spectrum Dewormer
for use in cattle and sheep
copy from old post:
Valbazen which is a cattle wormer is the best I've ever used..It kills more types of worms than all the others combined, And you don't have to worry about a massive worm kill like with piperazine or ivermectin which will sometimes clog the intestines..Valbazen slowly starves the parasites over a 2 to 5 day period..Valbazen is also used for human treatments at 400 mg child or adult..So unless you are allergic to it I'ts ok to consume the eggs after treatment, But I and all I know wait two weeks ..I'ts pricey at around $40.00 per bottle but well worth it

Dosage is 1/2 cc orally to adult large fowl.. 1/4 cc for bantams and young standard breeds

I sat down one day and figured out the dosage to be 5 cc/gal of water, if you want to just put it in their waterers. It doesnt separate, so it works good that way. I just wormed with Valbazen a few months ago, and that was how I did it. With over 100 chickens, I just couldnt individually dose them.

I just put it (Valbazon) on a piece of bread. I have errrrr, quite a few chickens, so I just do it at the same time I dust each one with poultry dust and check them over. I try to dust every couple months, but I worm twice a year. However, I may up that to 3 or 4 times a year as we are thick in worms and parasites here. Even my meaties had worms at 8 weeks old.... that's how bad it is. Cocci is just horrible here. I HAVE to use Corid every group I put on ground, or I lose some. Learned the hard way...

Oooh!! Looky! Looky! Looky what I found!! I Googled Valbazen for chickens, and one of the top listings was for this place:

Check out the price on this stuff! $26 is a far cry from the $40 that the other poster mentioned. And it treats up to 450 birds?!?!

Holy crap! That's a lot of birds! It's a sure bet I wouldn't run out any time soon with only 24 babies. Looks like this place might have a few other bargains floating around as well.

OK, Denny just rang the dinner bell....gotta run!

I would not!!! go back to being a teenager for no amount of money. I dont know about everybody else but my teenage experience with hormones and changes you couldnt stand yourself let alone the people around you. Wouldnt go back no way no how!! Just tell her Santa will give her a lump a coal if she doesnt straighten up!! Still sending prayers your way!!!
