Kathy, those Wyandottes are gorgeous! I don't care for splash Wyandottes, but the darker ones are so awesome.

The Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, I have only the 2 girls ... one black and one blue, and the 1 blue rooster. The Silver Laced, I have 3 girls and 2 roosters. They have just started to lay. Brittney claims the Wyandottes as hers. She is now talking about hatching chicks. It will be awhile though .....

Cyn, I think you got lucky and got some girls there!

I don't know about the Delaware. I think one more week and I'll be able to guess. I think two of the D'Uccles are pullets, so I may have a trio of those. I'm going to have porcelain D'Anvers this spring and not sure what to do about keeping a rooster. I wanted all the bantams to live in the old ladies' coop and I'd like to at least be able to have some purebreds in either the D'Uccles or the D'Anvers so I have a decision to make about that. MFD and D'Anver pullets with either a D'anver rooster or a D'uccle rooster would be nice, but I'd prefer being able to have porcelains. Geez, I can't make a decision to save my life. Maybe I need another coop.

I think Riley's son is going to be so gorgeous, but why can't I get a perfect comb like that on my purebreds? Do you see that perfect little single comb on that boy?

You know there would be plenty of help for ya! We discussed this before and had volunteers! I think you should keep 2 roosters with those bantams ... 1 of each! Then, you can change your mind frequently!

I have quit worrying about combs, once I found out they are the least important thing in breeding, as well as in points in the SOP shows. I don't even look at them anymore .... EXCEPT how they follow the shape of the head (verses flipping up instead of following along).

Those are all so purty! Tell Brittany that I fully expect hatching eggs from those beauties not this spring, but certainly by next! I should have everything and everyone sorted out by then!
