Amy lost her precious Brew. She was over 5 years old.

Cyn got a pretty Olive egg from her new layer, and Nugget is threatening to go broody.

LadyHawk is still suffering with her broken ribs.

Knox is thinking about getting a digital camera. (Oh, and I found my camera!)

I hatched my third hatch of F2s and got 6 yellow chicks.

Laura has been canning grapes ..... errrr, grape juice!

Nella ....... ummmm, I don't know what is going on with her.

Oh yeah ..... she is gonna work on a project........ Paint Cochins!

ETA: OH, and I have mites.

WoW that is a lot!! And I use to watch Magnum PI as a kid

Kathy, maybe your coops may need scrubbing and dusting as well as the birds- mites here hide in the cracks and crevices. Pain in the butt- I just rescued a Del girl for the same reason, and IF IT EVER QUITS
RAINING I will be dusting coops.

Wow i got land blasted on those bags Kathy! I guess here tho i livein the country - the city here guys carry bags like that all the time. And most people do carry reusable totes to the grocery - i mean mine are from the store itself - BUT? Course Lord knows i am a weirdo! LOL

Kathy, do you have an ACE hardware anywhere around you? They carry Orange Guard spray, citrus oil based, safe for the birds, smells wonderful, gets into cracks and crevices, even kills termites (trust me, I know by accident). If you do any clean outs, that is awesome to spray all over in every crack, around the roosts where mites hide, etc. Besides dusting the birds and putting in clean bedding, that's what I'd do. I love the stuff. Comes in a gallon or smaller spray bottle. If they don't have it in stock, they can get it in days or you can probably order online.

That is why it is a 2 day job here. Can't just treat the birds, gotta treat every single coop, too. My helpers are late. They were supposed to be here by 8AM. There are 5 of us, so hope we can get alot done today.
