They are much appreciated! There are days when it's what gets me through....that, and my chickens. Chicken Therapy: Is there any more effective treatment of the "Blah's"? I don't think so!

How did I miss the DivaDo's temper tantrum before?

OMG! I thought for a moment that she was going to run you over, and that the next scene I should see, would be you, camera and DivaDo going A.O.T.!

That girl can really express herself, can't she?!?!

I'm much better today folks. Don't worry. My funks, rare as they are, are usually brief and my bark is far worse than my bite.

] before the next round of snow is expected. Would anyone care to explain to me why JoAnn Fabrics can advertise a rotary cutter at one price online and still charge FOUR times that amount in the store?!?!

*Sigh* Guess I'll be ordering that little item online from Hancock. They're much cheaper!

At least now I have the last few items I need to complete this cute little sewing basket that I'm making for a very dear friend. Y'all should see the beautiful counted cross stitch she made for us as a house warming gift!

All from her own mind, no patterns or nothing! I am truly impressed with her talents!

Well, it's colder than a well digger's butt here this morning. And naturally it's chicken chore time. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Thermometer was reading 19.3 at 6:00am....and I'm pretty sure it has dipped lower still. It always does just before the sun comes up. OK, I'm rambling! Can ya tell I haven't had my second cup of tea yet?!?

Y'all have a great day my friends! And thanks again for the good thoughts!

Nella, sorry about the deceased babies.

Exciting news of the BEST kind! Ellie, who we had written off months ago as dying from whatever reproductive malfunction after dosing with penicillin and it didn't seem to help her much, has laid an EGG!
ya.gif
She had been looking much better, gaining weight, comb enlarging, and this a.m., Tom said she was in the nest she had been sleeping in to keep warm when she was so skeletally thin, pulling straw around her. He called me out of Rex's coop where I was doing maintenance to show me an egg he got when she left the nest (one nobody has been in to lay in many months-my flock has all but quit laying in that coop anyway). It is sort of soft on one end and the other has a weird ring-like impression, but it's definitely one Ellie laid! I am so happy, I could bust!

She's okay! She's okay! Ellie's BACK!
