I just want it over. I hate political discussions on BYC. I want the old chicken forum back. It is the most unpleasant place now because of the social media slant it's developed. I hate this, I really do.


By the way, I want to recommend this person's youtube channel. Her handle is michigansnowpony and her real name is Renee. LOVE her videos and her casual, easygoing style. Have learned so much and she is the only youtube I'm subscribed to. She also has book giveaways on a monthly basis. She's a homesteader/prepper. I can't afford to have someone deliver organic food, but I can grow my own food, at least while I still have land to grow it on.

Personally, I enjoy political discussions.
I also really like Renee's youtube channel!

I like this organic co-op. Often they have MANY things on sale - like 50% off. I pay no more for this than I did buying groceries at the local supermarket.

Cyn, I'm with you. My grocery bill for the 4 of us exceeds my mortgage payment monthly. Gonna have to go back to a big garden. Don't look forward to all that work, but might not have a choice

Biggest fear is rampant inflation (its got to be coming) and a rising cost of healthcare. The local school system started open enrollment on Monday for the 2013 calendar year. Insurance for family coverage increased from approx $600/month to $750/month, and they are told its due to the stipulations and mandates of the Obamacare plan (i.e. Affordable Heathcare plan)!! A 25% increase, or $1800 yr. Needless to say, the teachers have not received a pay increase equal to this so there will be a net negative affect on their disposable income.

Oh well.....back to our regularly scheduled programming

Then, Kathy, you discuss with others who enjoy that until y'all are blue in the face. All the discussion in the world won't change the fact that the U.S. is circling the toilet bowl now. I wish they'd eliminate the RR section. I don't care if SDWD is gone with it as long as it's gone.

I use to avoid RR, until SDWD came here. I rarely check any other threads on RR.
Actually, my general routine is to check the 4 or 5 threads I am a regular in, and nothing else. Sooo, the others don't bother me - just avoid them.
