My girls are 7 weeks old and 3 days ago I noticed there was poop with sea foam/mint colored green in it and the green stuff was very grainy and sand like. It seemed to be mostly on the outside of the poop pieces.
They've been staying in my bathroom overnight because we are still working on their secure nighttime coop but they are out all day in a mobile duck tractor and free range when supervised so idk what they could be getting into that's "new". In the bathroom I had a foam mat in the same sea foam green color so in thought maybe they were chewing on it but didn't find any damage to the mat.
Night before last I took the mat out and the next morning there was some whitish grainy stuff on a lot of the poop but it wasn't really green. Then last night I put some fresh hay in for bedding and this morning there's the grainy sea foam minty green again. I've found a few other posts with pictures of similar colored poop but the poster always said their duck seemed sick but so far, all my girls seem to be acting totally normal.
They get fed a flock maintenance pellet and veggies and fruits for treats. I've been giving them some mealworms since about a week ago. I have 4 girls and can't pinpoint who the poops are coming from but it seems like more than one. Any ideas?
