Seaching for Buy/Sell/Trade Items by State/Province

Hi!
Over the years, people have posted again and again about how wonderful it would be if we could search by state/province in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum (and now in the Animal Re-homing forum as well).

It would make searches so much easier for all, and also would help people who have animals or items to sell, swap or re-home to place their ad threads where the folks most likely to want them, to find them.

If everyone posting an ad in those forums would include their location in the subject header, it wouldn't be so bad scrolling through the pages of ad threads, but there are so many ads that just say "Silkie Pullets for Sale" in the subject header, and when we click on the link in hopeful anticipation, we find out that the poster lives a thousand miles away and can't or won't ship.

You can do an advanced search for your key words and choose the forum you want to search in.

We can't really force people to put their location in. Some don't want to and that's ok.
However sellers can definitely lose out on sales if they don't have as much info as possible.

Thanks, terrilacy! It didn't occur to me to try doing an advance search. I'll give it a shot!
