A fellow chicken spoiler I will keep a lookout for you i rescue roo's no matter the breed so i will keep an eye out for you
I wanted to tell that I know what a great service you do. Roosters/Cockerels need people like you. I know many are given up mostly through no fault of the owners. I feel sorry for the families especially the children who have become so attached. I used to rescue ferrets and know the work that goes into it while also caring for your own flock.
Anyway I just want to say I admire you and want to thank on behalf of all the roosters and cockerels. I know it sometimes seems like a thankless job; that is untill you look at all those roosters and cockerels you have saved and helped find their forever home.

On another note, my children started crying when we mentioned trying to find a knew home for our rood we're too many roosters for us to keep if we realistically can't keep some. They started crying so my husband promised to make a bachelor's coop and run for any extras. (He refused to do it for me. He even talked about culling which I gave an emphatic no to.) We are also eventually going to make an retirement coop for are hens since they can still live quite a few years more afterwards. We know it will create much much more work for us but I guess that's what love is all about.
