Its crazy here too. 60s today again. Sure doesn't feel like its almost Christmas!

I had to separate my Toulouse from the Sebs already. Dad gander was starting to fight with the other boys. Now its lots of yelling since the flock is split up. Nobody is going to be taking any naps around here for a while!

Been weird here... one min snow... next.. no snow... Fine with me though lol Sure is a lot easier lugging water out to the birds. The down grade well is still dripping fresh water into one of the Sebbie's pool too

I sure am hoping I have a trio here... won't know for sure until the eggs start coming.... This will be our first yr with birds old enough to lay. I am soo excited.

LOL its ok... I have waited this long.. I have one really big one that I am sure is a gander... the other two are much smaller but comparable to each other. I am pretty sure by size and attitude the two smaller are girls . I don't mind snow for say a few weeks but after that I want it gone..... just doesn't happen that way though.

We have had cold temps and some snow.... but I still had panzies blooms in the front yard next to my house in DEC<<< lol

that is so weird, pansies and snow.

sit and listen to the trio and see if you hear a difference in voice on them. The ganders do tend to be bigger, but not always.

I have violas blooming! They came back on their own. If it wasn't going to get cold on Tuesday, I would probably throw some more wheat down.

Renie- do you have anybody hissing at you? Or doing the neck craning thing? One of my spring ganders is doing it now. My girls don't really hiss unless they are really cornered and scared, which is never.

around what age do Sebastopol Geese start to lay eggs, and when are the ganders fertile? same question if anybody knows the answer for Pekin ducks,

I have them behind a white picket fence and yes I hear hissing going on until I identify myself to them.. hahaha great.. I could have all boys... hahaha well won't be seeing any eggs for sure.. naw.. I am still guessin they are a trio.

I will as soon as the my son is through playing games on my desktop comp. Now I have a question about shipping. I have a dear friend that wants to ship a 8lb rooster from Washington state to me here in NH on Monday... IS there any kind of embargo on live shipment using express mail for that journey??? I called my PO... long story short.. Express was emailed my question with phone number and they never called back So I don't know ... perhaps when she tries to purchase the shipping label online it will tell her she can't. Anybody know??
