likely a white since they are still so very young the color fades as they mature. White sebbies are hatched with down color that vanishes.




Space Ghost, gray saddleback.




Zima, lilac or lavender (what's the difference?) splash??

Could be a grey dilute splash or a white (same reason as above)
Definitely not a lilac or lavender as the color base is wrong for both
Lilac is blue based buff almost mushroom in appearance and lavender is very silvery blue





Tempest. I bought her as a purebred gray sebastopol and 2 wks later found out it was a mixed breed,
mixed with a purebred sebby female and the male was an african/toulouse cross. Let's just say I'm
ticked, to put it nicely. I don't want her, but my family's attached. But yet, if I keep her, she's basically
going to make my sebby breeding program worthless b/c I'll have to list everything as a possible mix
b/c I won't be able to tell which egg came from which goose.

if the family has made this one a pet then from January till may/June house her in her own yard and night house so you know her eggs are for eating and not mixed up with the others.

Wellll! I am sure happy I didn't send in my feather samples before checking around a bit. I found one lab that is less than 1/2 of avian biotech's prices. Phew! I was dreading that bill.

FF where did you get your DNA done at??? Would like to know to maybe test a goose or two and lower price sounds good.....

Hi everybody.... Sorry for not dropping in more often.. I have just been run ragged I tell you. The three white sebbies I got last yr turned out to be all boys... Soo Rosie is now Ross... lol oh well.. Thanks to Goose n Fig I was able to obtain a goose, Suzette. She and Garth hit it off from day one. BUT.. I didn't manage to hatch any of them successfully I think I need to dedicate one bator to only goose eggs.

My sister sent me eggs... managed to hatch one of those Then she sent me a gosling So now I have 4 whites and 2 with color. I will post pictures of them later...

I noticed that Suzette is smaller and tank like.. Her neck is shorter too. Than the known ganders in my flock.... Are these traits used to help determine gender? I have noticed the gosling Vivi sent me has similar type.... Soo would the chances of that one being a girl be a fair assessment??
