Sebastopol Geese Thread !!!!!!!!!! SHOW YOUR PICS !!!!!!!!!!

Pics
They are white. They do have the genetics behind them to produce some high quality offspring. Although not all of the goslings turn out the way we would like. I only keep a small percentage of what I hatch here. I hatched and raised over 30 goslings last year and kept maybe six of them. They are both what I would consider showable when in condition, but I have better birds that I know would place higher.

I used the female in my breeding program this year and the male was one of my back up ganders. I have too many ganders and can't keep them all. I figured it would be easier to find him a home with a female "attached"..

Jeans birds are well worth buying. We have three girls from her from her 2011 season this is their first season and all are doing very well. Two have now gone broody on is as well.been laying since January and when in condition their feathers are lovely.

Woolly Farms are kinda down the road and over a few from us!!! thanks for the info all!! I'll see what the situation is like at fall (my goose is a weekish away from hatching her eggs!!!! so hopefully that goes good and get a little revenue to buy a goose this fall!

sorry pips but right now I don't think I can add a new pair of geese quite yet as I still have to sell my brown African pair and my buff African gander to get down to 7 geese.

Can you post pics or PM me pictures? I might be interested and could pick them up at Stevenson.

How old are they? Do you have any pics of their offspring?
I've got a breeder pair I am selling for $170.00. If interested let me know, I am coming to Stevenson this weekend and it would be easy to bring them to the show with me.

I had a smooth grey hen on 15 eggs..... they started hatching yesterday... this morning 10 are out..... and I think 2 more are pipped.
ALL are colored! YAY!!
I had her with a couple different males.... buff and white. The males have great feathering!
At least 2 of the babies are buff.... the rest are dark.
I'll get more pics when mom has finished incubating them :)

So, I'm getting pips & peeps pair tomorrow. I already have Mazuri Waterfowl for my ducks. They will be on grass. Is there anything else I need right away?

I'm going to buy Dave Holderread's book on geese, too, because these are my first geese and I would appreciate any advice in the meantime...

Oh, also, How big of container/box/dog crate do I need to transport them in my car?

So excited!!
