I want it NOW!!!! I'm new to duck's. I just received 2 pins for Easter to go w/ my 13 chicken's! But now I can't wait til next spring for them! I can't wait to learn more about them. Do they bite as much as I've been told?
You have 2 pin tails???
And my gosling does but its out of curiosity :)

Oh, I'm sorry. I should of explained myself better. I just received 2 Pekin Ducks. My son got them as an Easter gift for me. He had heard me talking about it one day. They do have selective hearing, don't they! Even when their grown up!

Hey guys,

Today I found 2 eggs in my Sebastopol goose's nest. I replaced the hay on Sunday, so she must have laid one yesterday and one today. I read somewhere that you should leave 1 egg in the nest to encourage her to continue laying. Is that true? I left one down there, but I'd really like to put both of them in my incubator.

Wait a couple days and she will lay more eggs for you to g and get then you can put more than just one in the incubator. It is always best to 3 or more at one time. Just keep them in a cool dark place and rotate the eggs, turn them each day until you have what you want to put in the incubator. Yes, do leave an egg in the nest.

Ok, thanks! I actually ended up taking both eggs and then I left a blown out goose egg. I hope that's enough.

Hi all,
I have a 6 week old gander gosling that has really shaky legs. They quiver when he is standing or walking. I feed the following; free choice grass and 3 parts 20% grower and 1 part rolled oats and 2 pinches of brewer's yeast. This age group is outside 24/7. (besides locking them up in a coop at night) There is another 6 wk old gosling and 3-5 wk olds in with him and none of the others are doing this. I have niacin tablets I can add to the water, but don't want to overdo it. I also have nutri-drench, poultry vit and electrolytes. What do you suggest?

With our Sebastopol goslings I only feed waterfowl grower for 3 weeks and the slowly changed them over to adult waterfowl feed. Goslings need mainly grass in their diet. You can also give cooked peas to babies having hard times with their legs....
