I don't know Jean, that the first baby looks like it might be a buff, if so a female. That gander I sent is out of a buff carrier and so he may have carried buff. Please post another picture if you can.

New goslings hatched last week from the gander my friend got from Jen K and my new goose from Tim Kerbo.

Jennifer do you currently have buffs or buff carriers only? We have a grey gander who is a buff carrier paired to a lilac goose. Hoping for a couple of buff babies out of them. We have 4 in various stages of hatching today.

Jenifer, we sexed them, the gray one is a gander and the saddleback a goose. The dilute had pretty dark legs and the toe nails were also dark when it hatched, don't know what that might indicate, but I noticed it.

So the gray gander Christina got from you definately carries saddleback. He is now with different goose. She is a blue/gray, we don't know if she carries buff, but may in the future Christina should have some babies from them in the near future.

shame you cant get them in UK looked everywhere

i see they sell here for $50 ish wich is about £30-£35

i would be happy to pay more than that to get one

Glad you got some out of Tim's goose. The blue or gray female won't carry buff, they actually have to be buff to produce buff ganders when bred back to a buff or buff carrier. If he is carrying buff she should get some buff females. I do have his brother in with 4 buff geese so their sons will carry the buff gene. Anxious to see what Christina gets.
