Poor girl.

Gracie- the greys are lovely!
If you are NPIP with waterfowl, do you have to get them from somebody who is NPIP like with chickens? I know regulations vary by state, but here there isn't an NPIP requirement on waterfowl.

Renie I am so so sorry.
Gracie, they are very pretty. What bloodlines are they?

I couldn't tell you. I got my original trio from a friend when I went to buy some silkies from him. The geese belonged to his wife who couldn't take care of them. I think he said she hatched them from eggs bought from a Kentucky breeder, but he didn't know who.

Yes, they would have to be NPIP. It covers your chickens and waterfowl.

Thank you all.

I need to know about the NPIP situation too.. My chickens get tested every yr.... How do we handle the geese situation??

Renie, have the geese tested as well. Many states require waterfowl tested too, so if they are already there, I would get the geese done at that time.

Oh and need to chat to about Orps please, we have a couple Lav Orps in the egg laying flock and adore them. Would like more of the fluffy butts.

I sent you a PM with my phone number :)

It is with a heavy heart.... I tell you guys this.... I left our house for a couple of hrs to attend our son in laws Birthday... I came home to find that one of my dear sweet sebbies had got her head caught in the double fencing and apparently broke her neck. I tell you .. words can not describe the loss I feel. :(
Renie- So sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose them.
