sebright penciled laced hen??

is it possible to get a penciled laced sebright? would she be pure? i went to poultry sell and see guy selling beautiful sebright roosters and 2 hens. the rooster i can tell is pure but the hen gots me scratching my head cuz she looks penciled laced well i couldnt past up $10 for the the pair and i always wanted sebright. can i still hatched their babies and say they r pure sebright? i'll try to get a pic later to night or tomorrow night

as long as they are pure yes just make sure everyone knows they are mixed colors though

I have sebrights and I'd like to see that picture...Anything is possible with chickens, people are always trying breed and improve for new and better chickens. Take seramas for instance, I bet there are at least 25 different colors in them.

I really don't think there is such a thing as "pencilled laced". It's one or the other or neither. Can we see a pic?

I figured they were talking about triple lacing, like in cornish.

well i seen on Ideal web site that they had gold silver AND buff laced and which got me scratching my head again cuz once again thought they only come in silver and gold so thats why was wonding if they can come in penciled

She does not look penciled, just poorly laced. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

all the roosters he had down there was very niced laced like the one i got from him but the hens looks like her she actually had less black

Penciled is kinda of like saying something is doubled laced. It's when there is lacing, within lacing. If you look up penciled chickens, you'll see what I mean. Sometimes laced birds just come out looking poor. If all of his hens looked like this, then that explains why she looks like that. Hatchery birds tend to have poor lacing sometimes. Anyone else have any opinions? (look up Penciled Rock Chickens. They are a good example of penciling, particularly the hens.) Anyways, she is still pretty! So is your roo!
