Are Sebrights generally a small breed? My mother in law just traded a rooster for a female Sebright and the lady said she was born in April but she seems SOOOO tiny! We have chickens born in April and they are way bigger!

Probably should have looked into that before the trade lol. My mother in law wanted another full size egg layer, she already has 3 silkies that will be laying tiny eggs. Oh well, she's a pretty bird none the less!

Sebrights are cute, the only problem with owning them in my area, is that the market is flooded with them, so selling them would be a pain

Same with Old Englishes, which I breed, lol. I would raise OEGB chicks every year, and make about $75 off of them every year, but then...the market became flooded, now I can't hardly give the things away!

I prefer bantams. I use up more eggs quicker that way. If a recipe calls for two large eggs, well there go about 5 bantam eggs. I can't use up eggs fast enough so ever little bit helps.

@Poultrybreeder we wanted another female for egg laying, she has 15 chickens, 4 of them were roosters, that and he kept coming onto my land pushing my chickens way from their food and water and scaring the younger chickens.

Everyone here wants frizzles, silkies, and Mille Fleur d'Uccles. Silver Sebrights are hard to find.

Sounds like you might have a quality little Sebright. They are suppose to be small. I'm in California and have a lot of Silvers.
