My first five test turkey eggs all went into lockdown yesterday. One pipped last night before I went to bed. About an hour ago, it poked a big hole in the shell and it's beak is sticking out. Hopefully we'll have some baby turkey love this evening

Thanks, I've carved a bunch .. but that's the only one I have pics of... I still have a stockpile of emu eggs to work on though

I know.. I've been called a lot of strange things lately! (and if you had met my ex.. you would know why I traded up AND got emus!)

I tend to have a bad habit of giving things away.. so I guess it depends on how many eggs Rose decides to lay when the time comes!

I won't complain, as long as I can find room in the bator.

carved with a dremel .. I also hand paint eggs.. but they are in another thread

oh if I had any emu eggs right now I would be sure to bomb ya with them!

emu are seasonal layers.. so pretty much everyone's emus are done for this season... and the few that are still hanging on won't be for long.

It's more than ok. They wouldn't fit in my Brinsea anyway, and I'm pretty sure my perpetually broody banty wouldn't enjoy it. I do have an easter egger that was broody for 16 weeks last summer... I thought she was going to starve to death. She could possible do it...

No! We don't wants it precioussssss
