Quote: Thank you, I have been and will continue to! I wouldn't possibly forget to post a pic! I still have just over a month to go, too.
This was asked on another thread and I think its a pretty cool idea to know why others chose their sign on names!

Anyone want to share how you came up with your screen name?

SALLY SUNSHINE:
I worked outside many years as Horticulturist, my hair was sun bleached and I was the happiest healthiest girl on the earth as I tended to the land and my nickname grew as Sunshine or Sunny. So it stuck for computer alias ever since! I have since turned to poo on the outside, but its still me on the inside.

But one day I will be healthy again, I have to keep kicking sick's butt until then!
Razadia is the name of a character I've been working on for years and I decided to start using it as a screen name. It wasn't my first pick, but Halo was already taken and I don't like using numbers in my screen name.
Quote: We feed non-fried table scraps to our pets and have for years. It's served our oldest cat well since she just turned 15 this year. I also feed any cracked eggs to my SIL's Rott. He didn't seem to like them at first, but he's so weird I figured out that I had to tell him he could have it, like I have to with a lot of things. He's never been in trouble when it comes to food, so I'm not sure why heacts like he isn't allowed to have something I give him.
Quote: My mom has told me plenty of times, but it's always nice to get a reminder!

As promised here's a pic of the temp pen. I still need to move some birds around. All but one of the birds in this pen are the same age, the youngest being the smaller BA/RIR.

My given initials are C E O and my kids names are Christy Kayla and Alex so that is how I got CEOCKA

Did you all know that if you breed a Muscovy to a regular duck, that the ducklings that hatch will be sterile, something to do with the length of hatching time. I heard some do it for boys to eat and the girls for egg production. Just a little trivia

Has anyone seen this video, I haven't watched all of it yet but will later it is about 59 min. there is one for pigs too

I suppose we'll have to guess then. Super Villain and Under Achieving Virgin?
Bawahhhhahhahahhahahhahaaaa
That is too funny. I always read your screen name as "discard". Don't ask me - that's just the way my brain works.

I didn't even stop and think why someone would name themselves "discard".

Omg you guys/gals I just busted out laughing. Y'all crack me up. I thought the same thing

Do duck eggs change color before they hatch? Mine were a light grey during incubation and now there is darker spots froming on the shells? They are all alive. :shrugs:

I noticed that my turkey eggs changed color as the weeks progressed. I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't set some 2-week eggs next to some that were just being set and there was a noticeable difference in color. So maybe duck eggs change color as well.

the eggs change color because as the embryo grows it absorbs calcium from the shells..making them thinner

I have been raising birds for over 30 years now.. I have had chickens, pheasants, quail, duck, guineas, turkeys, doves, pigeons, various finches, canaries, pionus, cockateils, parakeets, amazons, cockatoo, greys, macaws, lovebirds, parrotlets, sparrow hawks, and probably a few others I'm not remembering at the moment.. At some point in the 80's someone called me the bird guy and it stuck..
