An employee that filed a grievance against me, one of her accusations was that I was prejudiced against her because she is a Christian and I practice voodoo. Not quite sure where she got that from, but afterwards I took a long weekend trip to New Orleans. I brought home this shirt and started wearing it to the office on casual Fridays, after she lost the grievance.



I may not practice voodoo, but I do practice the art of getting even.

My favorite was when we caught someone stealing and her excuse was that her supervisor (me) is sleeping with a coworker.

That's nice. I have been for years. Since before I came a manager. Senior management knows it and he doesn't report to me. Now please tell me how that is related to your stealing?

I call that the squid move. IE squirt an excuse to cover the real situation. It rarely works. And you'd be surprised at how often other people do something wrong because I have a boyfriend that works in the same department as me.

Every grievance I ever had filed against me, came within days of the employee not getting a promotion they wanted, failing probation from a previous promotion or being disciplined.

Very strange coincidence. Must have been my fault in some way...........................
