Second egg??

So I got my first egg from Coco, my 18 week old BSL, on July 18th. I haven't seen another one yet. I was just wondering if newly ovulating chickens could be a little wonky with production at first. Does it take them awhile to get into the swing of things?

Is this a free range hen? If so, it may be hidden somewhere in your yard.

If this is a penned hen, you could have something taking the eggs or she may be eating them.

She is mostly penned, though I do let them out for awhile when I get home in the evening. I will go on an egg hunt and see if I can find it. First one she laid in the nest box. Thanks!

In the beginning they may not lay every day while their bodies are adjusting.
