Second FART EGG in 1 week, Why?

I weigh all of my eggs. If an egg weighs less than 42 grams it is considered a pee wee egg. I weigh all of my eggs in grams.

Exceptionally small eggs are called "wind eggs" or "fart eggs". They are usually darker. Very small eggs with regular coloration are called a "Pee Wee" egg, which is an egg that is less than 42 grams. Probably most people that do weigh their eggs do it in ozs. I personally use grams.

Modern Sizes (USA)

Size Mass per egg
Jumbo Greater than 2.5 oz. or 70 g or >

Extra-Large (XL) Greater than 2.25 oz. or 64-69 g

Large (L) Greater than 2 oz. or 56-63 g

Medium (M) Greater than 1.75 oz. or 49-55 g

Small (S) Greater than 1.5 oz. or 42-48 g

Peewee Greater than 1.25 oz. or < 42 g

I just got another FART EGG. A total of three now. I did blow out the other two fart eggs, there was only the white of the egg inside. When should this stop? Three within a week?

I just one of those cute lil eggs yesterday. My understanding is that it is usually the 1st egg a chicken has. My other girls didn't have this small of eggs though. They are so cute. Someone asked my yesterday how an egg can be cute, only someone who has seen 1 of these would understand, am I right??!!

i've found mine to lay fart eggs:

when they first start laying ever.
at the end/start of a new laying cycle.
after laying a big hooptie of an egg
and after eating beans

Some days I am so slow to catch on that I scare myself. So many people said chickens lay fart eggs after eating beans that I started to believe it. Finally, I caught on.

I think it is tooooooo funny that the word "fart" still makes mature adults laugh. Not pointing fingers cause this whole thread made me chuckle:D

I have never gotten a fart egg but my new Bantys laid for the first time yesterday and their eggs are about the soze of a fart egg.

Fart.

Sorry:/

Oh Boy I must be soo slow. I read the comments about fart eggs caused by chickens eating beans. I thought, I did not feed my chickens beans. OK I GET IT. Thanks
