I purchased chicks CM's. 1 roo and 3 hens. I have 2 other CM hens older. Well the 4 new chicks are getting bigger and seem to have formed their own flock. They don't mix with the others only if there are goodies being given and then only long enough to get some. Then they go back to their own seperate ways in the yard. I want to breed them and incorporate the 2 older hens. They have their own sectioned off part of the coop. How can I get the 2 older hens to become part of His heram? I was just thinking that maybe I could tie all their legs together like a chain gang. Would that help? Seriously though how can I get them together? If I put them in a seperate run how long before they connect? Even though they can the CM's snobs don't roost with the others. The roo hasn't started to crow yet but he clearly is the leader of this flock.
