Second hatch ever! Watch with me

Hi! Those shavings are too small they will eat them and die. Are they cedar? Never put chicks on cedar shavings.:(

We got it from Sutherland’s. That is what they were using for their chicks. O my goodness. I just used it on my other hatch and they were all fine and are almost 4 weeks old now. I had no idea

Cedar will kill them too. Are they cedar chips? Get them some fresh air...

This is the bedding. I can’t get to the feed right now to see but it’s a medicated chick starter feed.

I had new baby turkeys last year on those small shavings and the chicks thought it was food. 8 out of 15 chicks died within 2 days. The hatchery refunded my money but told me to never put chicks on small shavings. I use puppy pads now for a couple weeks and then large pine shavings.

Thank you I’m gong to remove it immediately. I have puppy pads
