This is Two Stroke ( my son said he sounds like a two stroke engine). I believe he is a rooster but would like a second opinion. My new babies are between 14-16 weeks old and he is not crowing yet but definately is the leader and protector of the others. Thanks!

I was hoping for all hens but the person I got them from only had 2 hens and this guy. So far he seems sweet, we have had them 4 day:D, so I am hoping for the best.

Well , we did not want roosters neither , but DH arrived one day with 4 roosters . OMG I had afit . we gave 1 away and one died , and the 2 roosters are doing great with the flock . except BIG RED has claimed this flock his . he is starting to ease up on the other rooster tho .

We have a flock of 61 so , we actually needed a rooster to control them and that he does . He hears anything overhead and he makes a weird sound and they all go under the coop . I guess the communicate between each other , which is a good thing . This is BIG RED :

Oh I am so sorry ......... that is why I told hubby if we were going to have chickens I wanted a full predator proof coop and run .

So far , he has 1/2 of the run covered with a big heavy duty vinal tarp , he needs to finish this before I attempt to do it myself , and at 5'2" tall , might be a problem . LOL

He is BEAUTIFUL! Two Stroke makes a weird noise when he seeing or hears something too. My biggest concern is that he now ruffling his feathers and charging the girls. I'm sure this is probably normal but is a little unnerving when I am in the run with them!

Looks like a rooster but not 100 percent sure. Comb and waddles aren't far off from one of my hens at the same age that was an early bloomer.
