I hatched out this EE in March and it has gone from pure black to having splotches of red on its wings and neck. Am I correct in thinking it is a cockeral?

Thanks I was hoping pullet but when the wings went splotchy red recently I had to face facts but wanted another opinion because it is a mutt. The Barred mix went with a local to his flock since he lost his rooster recently.
