I’m sorry you're going through this. My feed store gets all their birds from Ideal. Last year when I wanted some ducks they told me that shipment after shipment of ducks were arriving with a lot of DOA’s. They said this had never happened before, and that it was only the ducks, chicks were fine with just the normal amount of losses. They didn’t know why, but Ideal did replace and/or refund all losses. i Had the feed store order my ducklings for me in case of loss(I didn’t want to open a box full of dead ducklings) I ordered 4 and 1 was DOA and another on it’s way there, but I was able to save her. Lost the barred rock chick I saved yeaterday. The majority of ducks are becoming more lively. Seeing much more activity from them... still a few that arent, but it looks better.

I think a lot of people, myself included, don't think about that!

Maybe add some sugar to the warm water to give them some energy and help them recover from the lethargy/fatigue?

Sugar water or electrolytes are okay for the first drinks. It's hard on the heart if used too long because of the salt intake from electrolytes. Personally I'd brood the Chicks and Ducklings separated. Heat lamps are all I ever use.

He's already doing that with them, so at this point it's kind of on the ducklings to live or not.

Yes it is,but if you read instructions from the hatcheries they only rec using surgar when they first arrive for a boost.

I've never seen Nutridrench ever recommended though?
