Hi,

We got our first chicks last spring from Southern States.

But after numerous mishaps with our Siberian Huskies, after replenishing the flock multiple times, from various sources (other feed stores, craigslist) We now have three. A fancy little white cockerel that I have no idea what breed he is. A RIR, and an easter egger.

This year we want to get more layers, as well as some meat birds.

I'd also like to get a puppy that can grow up with the chicks and ideally look out for them.

We haven't had any problems with wild or stray animals, just our dogs.

Hi, and "welcome" from a newbie in DownEast NC! Get a "Sheltie" pup. He'll mother your little flock like nobody's business!! We had one with our Muskovies and they were great together.
