My neighbour knocked on and asked if I could possibly put something up against the fence I already have because he has 2 dogs and they are tearing at the fence trying to get to my chickens, he said it won't be long before they break through.
He was nice about it and offered to help, he said he didn't want them to get the chickens, I said I have some rolls of chicken wire but I will need some stakes, so he is getting those.
I've heard the dogs barking but I didn't realise they were breaking the fence to get through, the chicken wire I've for is only about 2.6 so I might put another roll on top to make it higher.

I thought they would be safe from any predators having a high fence all round but I didn't bank on next doors dogs breaking it down lol.

One thing did cross my mind was why doesn't he put something up his side but I didn't want to cause any trouble, the joys of BYC eh!

Chicken wire will not stop any dog that I Call Dog.
Well maybe mine.. Technically Dogs. Both from my Iditarod Team

So Chicken wire won't do, I can't afford a better/stronger fence, if that is the case I'll have to get rid of the chickens. :hit

I think I found a solution to the problem, I'm going to turn the coop round to face a different direction in to an area at the rear of my house and fence off that area but have the coop door so it open in to that part.
The chickens won't have the full run of the garden but it might serve another purpose, I have grandkids that often come and they can play in the garden without disturbing the chickens and visa-versa.

It sounds like he knows his dogs are the issue. There is anti-dig fencing that dog owners can install.
If they are digging to get to your chickens, turning the coop won't help. The chickens are still on your side of the fence.

No they are not digging, they are trying to break bits off the wooden fence, some of the lats are coming loose, the part where I'm going to put them is a lot better, the fence there has bushes and creeper that have overgrown on to the fence itself on both sides so the dogs can't and don't go there on his side as well.
