My birdie girl was attacked by my family dog back in July. She has recovered well except for a lame leg. Her left leg looks a lot like spraddle leg that a chick might have after hatching. I know it is not that but that gives you the idea of what I am dealing with. She is a happy hen. She eats she sings she always greets me and even follows me around the best she can. I have tries everything short if taking her to the vet to try and fix her leg. Something tells me she has a dislocation of some sort. I have put braces on her legs. I have had her in a sling. I have even done hydro therapy with her. Her leg is still out to the side and not under her. Any suggestions to help me care for this birdie girl?

If you haven't done it already Google "poultrypedia podiatry page" and it will take you to a site run by a fellow BYCer with lots of tips on foot and leg problems.

I have been to that site. It has some awesome ideas. I even made one of the leg braces. But when I put it on my birdy girl it makes her do somersaults. It was comical for a minute and then it made me cry. Literally tears streaming down my face because I thought this was the answer.
