Hi. My first post comes as my 3 Bantam Cochins reach the 7 week age. I would appreciate input on my suspicion my 2 most beautiful chicks are indeed cockerels. Will post one now to test my photo attaching ability. I bought all 3 straight run locally as 2 day old chicks. I was told they could all potentially become frizzles, but only 1 of the 3 actually grew out as frizzle.
My chick today is "Blue". Is that the correct term for this pattern and color?
I believe s/he is a male. Blue fluffs out and charges the other chicks, including my sweet much larger Cream Legbar and Norwegian Jaerhon chicks (both female). No violence involved, just lots of posturing. And I notice wattles developing this past week. Agree or ? I live in the city and must rehome all rooster types :-(
I'll post photos of my other suspected male, a frizzle, soon. Many thanks for your input.
