Seemingly strange coloration on olive egger chicks

Number 2 is a cockerel.
Number 1 looks to be a pullet.
Looks like I’ll be getting a few roosters out of this batch then...😳
Got a pic of the older buff mix and the other 2 chicks I have with the broody, the white striped one and the dark brown one both are olive eggers, and the one that’s grey/buff....you guessed it, is the buff mix. It’s strange to me that the other two look nothing like their parents when they were the same age.

Genetics can be alittle crazy sometimes depending on the parents genetic make up.

Ya I figured the white striped one was probably some recessive gene coming out from another breed...we shall see, I have 2 like that. The dark one looks like many of the pics of Welsummer chicks I’ve seen, so no surprise there. I’m anxious to see what the buff mix will look like though

I'm curious about what they're gonna look like too. Update at a few weeks?

Here’s a pic of the last one hatched now about a month old...I think it’s a hen because of the little tuft starting to show. This one was rejected by the broody that I have, I guess she didn’t want anymore kids, so we’re taking care of this one. Likes to follow me and my son around and likes to stand on my shoe....

Here’s the rest of the bunch...the 2 white ones both came out of a green egg, and so did the dark grey one....weird that they’re solid white. The others are the mixed ones
