Seems like it took FOREVER!!

Turns out my RSL wasn't a slacker after all!  My son found three eggs today.  Not in the nest but in the yard.  I hope she doesn't make a habit of this!.  I posted yesterday she hadn't laid in two days but I guess she did.

Todays weirdo mystery egg was under the roosts again. Paper thin, soft, broken open. This time she didn't wallow out a nest. Maybe layed on the roost?

I have made corn muffins with crushed oyster shell baked in the muffin for my girls. Just an idea.

2 EGGS today!!! I'm pretty sure it was my Black Sex Link that gave me the eggstra egg today.  I saw  her in the coop with the Red Sex Link this morning and she has started letting me pet her recently.  I wish I could get a few more hens too but my coop isn't big enough and I want to add to my flock next year so that I always have a few new hens.  My BSL is bigger than my RSL so the eggs were almost the same size.

Thanks! Funny I don't see myself as a grandma especially when my youngest is 12. Lol oh well. Baby girl will be here in just over a month!

We have no more room to build here. We really need to just move.

I got layer feed today. I already mixed it in the fermented feed. Will be ready to feed in the morning. Hope it helps. I hate that its less protein than flock raiser.

that is great, but dont forget the oyster shell, she may need a bump in calcium
