We have a year old Leghorn hen. She gives us an egg a day and is very active. Her comb & waddle are bright red and clear of any blotches. Her eyes are clear and alert. She is eating well.
Normal except for one thing.....her bottom has an uren smell. It seeps out of her vent almost constantly and it keeps the area below her vent to about between her legs inflamed.
We had her on an antibiotic solution for 7 days that we mixed with her water. Daily she was washed and Poultry Aid was applied.
What we have done has helped but hasn't done a complete job.
Any suggestions as to what is going on with her will greatly be appreciated.
