I initially posted about my 'roo's condition here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=541184
After going through some of the links that folks who replied had posted, I think his symptoms are most consistent with botulism. In some of the poultry botulism pages I have read, it mentions using selenium as supportive treatment. We have some 100mcg selenium tablets in the house, but this would likely be too large a dosage. Anyone know what the correct dosage of selenium would be for a fully grown Partridge Chantecler rooster with botulism? Seems a bit of a long shot to think anyone's on who would know this, but we want to do *something* to help him.
