How do you know if you have overdosed a 5 week old chick suffering from wry neck with scramble eggs everyday. It has been 2 weeks that i have been on this journey I make scramble eggs every other day to put in his wet mash for the selenium needed with the vitamin e he gets the vitamin E every morning along with the egg however he only gets about 3 tablespoons of the feed 3 times a day that has the eggs in it . . Have I been giving to much. I have also been advised to order some cattle injection b complex to give instead of the human one I have been giving he doesn't drink. The cattle one arrived today and I have checked on the search forum and found 1/2 cc of this should suffice is that correct? How often do I need to give. I have been mixing 1/4 tablet with water and using that as the water source for the wet mash. But I think I'm supposed to give this orally into his beak. I have to get needles don't have any here. I was hoping this would a screw top but it's not.

Ty sorry if I have posted way to much but this is different still regarding Rocky but different

It would be impossible to overdose on selenium with scrambled egg, but only a small amount is needed. The chick should mostly be eating chick feed, either dry or wet. I would not give injections to a 5 week old when you can simply give it a 1/4 ml orally every day. You can use the injectable orally, or give 1/4 tablet orally. It is not as noticeable if you grind up the B tablet in a little food. You can use the method below to give medications with a 1 ml needleless syringe for baby medicien available at most pharmacies free for asking. I open the beak by pulling down on the wattles, give a couple of drops orally, and release the wattles for them to swallow. Repeat. Here is a good article on how to give oral medicines:
